We had a lot of positive reactions to our display at the 2005 AHR Expo. One in particular was from Don Beaulieu of Contracting Canada. He was at the show taking pictures of the Nitro Funny Car, and asking questions about Leon's venture. Mr. Beaulieu thought it would be a good story for his magazine. Please check out the new Contracting Canada magazine available at wholesalers accross Canada later this month.

It's been an exciting year already for ESP Racing. We began the year by showcasing the race car in Orlando, FL for
our main sponsor, Energy Saving Products. You can view additional pictures on their website at
www.hi-velocity.com/en/ahr_2005/page_01.htm
A new sponsor to ESP Racing this year is Cougar Paint and Collsion Inc. Graham Dick owner/operator of Cougar
had a commercial display at the 2005 Powerama Expo which the ESP Racing Nitro Funny Car was displayed showing the
new look that Graham gave us. ESP Racing couldn't be more pleased with the paint job Graham layed down on the car. Eileen Graham did a spectacular job in setting up their display and it paid off, they won best commercial display (creative). Congratulations to The Cougar Team for the tremendous job which was very well done! To view further pictures please go to our gallery or click the following link Cougar Collison Display at Powerama Expo 2005. Included
in these pictues is Drag Racing Legend himself, John Force. John was on hand at the Powerama Expo signing autographs for racing fans.
At the end of the show Terry Capp and John Force made their way over to the ESP Racing car and shared a few good laughs with us.

On Sunday, May 29th,the ESP Racing team
took the car out to Budweiser Mortorsports Park for our first test & tune run of the year. It was very satisfying to see the car run
down the track and to see Randy's best run yet. He ran 226 MPH and his ET was 6.00.
The Lucas Oil Funny Car Showdown was held June 4th at Bud Park and it was the first time since 1996 that two Nitro Funny Cars raced
side by side. The two cars were Trial N Error, Driver Jason DuChene and ESP Racing's own, Randy Bykowsky. It sure was a crowd pleaser.
The two cars met at 7:00 p.m. and then again at 11:00 p.m.

On June 6th the ESP Racing Hi-Velocity Nitro Funny Car was at J.H. Picard Ecole. The school is a french immersion school.
This allowed students from K-12 to learn french vocabulary that wouldn't normally be spoken in class. One of our crew
members, Colton Bykowsky was in grade 3 at the school and his class posed for a picture with us.
As well that day, Cuts for Cancer was at the shcool. The junior and senior students raised over $7,000.00 for 2005 for a
grand total of 24,000.00 in the last 3 years. Way to go students of J.H. Picard!!!

ESP Racing Ltd. was asked to display the Hi-Velocity Systems Nitro Funny Car
during Thermal Supply's Open House on August 3rd. Thermal Supply is out of Spokane, WA
and is a distributor of Hi-Velocity Systems by Energy Saving Products which is our main sponsor.
A special thank you to Susan and John and all involved for the awesome BBQ.
After the Open House BBQ we loaded the car and headed out to Spokane Raceway Park to prepare for
the 43rd AHRA World Finals which ran August 5-7th. We made three qualifying passes, Friday night,
Saturday afternoon, and Saturday night which the Saturday afternoon run was good enough to qualify us
and put us in the race for Sunday. On our 1st round of eliminations on Sunday we were up against
Terry Haddock, our reverser broke after the burn out and we were unable to back up to stage and
therefore had to forfeit. We are always eager to race at SRP and look forward to coming back next year.
